Abstract

In heteroneneous wireles network,integration of cellular and wireless network is very complex and important issue.Integration of cellular and wireless are used to improve quality of service (QoS),battery duration improvement and utilization of all resources to be maximized.In this study ,we proposed a radio resurce management in heterogeneous wireless network to reduce horizontal handoff as well as to reduce vertical handoff(VHO).Here two Radio Access Technologies(RATs) are considered out of that one is cellular and second wireless Local Area Networks(WLANs).In this paper three handoff techniques are compared and one of the best will be selected for heterogeneous wireless networks.The results shows that selection of radio access technologies and decession of vertical handoff(VHO) is very important.
