Abstract

This paper presents a reliable method for detecting human faces in color images. The system is based on the visual information of the face and is commenced with the detection of face regions by connected component analysis of the skin color segmentation of images in HSV,YCBCR,YIQ color model and the Fuzzy membership function. The Fuzzy Membership function is applied to search for possible face regions in an image. The proposed method is robust in that it can deal with illumination changes and moderate rotations.
