Abstract

Databases and other related concepts are some of the key technologies that power the present IT scenario. Their effect can be felt in all the industries and thus database designing forms a key part in development of any system.

In such a scenario coupled with the demanding environment it is imperative that the design is flawless and all the related aspects are well thought of. Such high quality and zero tolerance work require individuals who are highly trained and have complete visibility.

Through this paper we present the alternate ways of viewing and visualizing a database in its entirety making use of the thickness of the screen as an additional dimension. One of our prime motives is also to inculcate an additional methodology for imbibing database knowledge among beginners. The alternate view of the conceptual model described in this paper can also be used to find relationships, distinguishing features and other points of interest among database tables, views, warehouses, schemas and transformations.
