Abstract

Although current data centers are more capable than the older server rooms, they are expected to evolve to an entirely new architecture due to virtualization. These next generation data centers will improve substantially in their power utilization, which is the fastest growing cost component of data centers. The evolved data centers will eventually lead to dynamic provisioning of all its resources to customers – they will evolve into cloud service providers.
