The arXiv (arXiv.org), a project by Cornell University Library, provides open access to over a third of a million e-prints in physics, mathematics, computer science and quantitative biology. In production since 1991, the arXiv provides a mechanism for researchers to disseminate manuscripts and published articles to a wide community of researchers. Adopted extensively by some of the disciplines it serves, the arXiv is believed to enhance the scholarly communication process by improving access to research findings and by providing a platform for the open peer-review of manuscripts, many of which are submitted for formal review and publication in established journals. |

International Journal of Computer Applications (IJCA) permits authors to post the published version of their research manuscripts on arXiv. An internal study conducted by International Journal of Computer Applications (IJCA) indicates that articles reproduced in the arXiv received 55% more citations on average than non-deposited articles.
In pursuance of increasing participation with arXiv program, IJCA has introduced changes to the copyright transfer policies whereby license, to reproduce the IJCA's published papers, is granted to arXiv. However, authors must be aware of the clauses which govern reproduction of IJCA copyrighted materials on arXiv.

While uploading the paper on arXiv, the author will be asked to submit meta-data details regarding the paper. This section will explain the various parameters that the authors will encounter while uploading the paper.
| Title | The complete name of the article. Do not use all upper case letters. |
| Authors | Include the names of all authors. The list of authors must be similar to the one published with IJCA. The rule is that all names should be given in the order, Firstname Lastname or Firstname Middlename Lastname (where Lastname is your family name). |
| Abstract | Do not include the word "Abstract". Do not start lines with whitespace (spaces, tabs, etc.) unless you are trying to prevent arXiv's automatic line wrapping. Abstracts longer than about 20 lines will be truncated; abridge your abstract if necessary./td> |
| Comments | Indicate number of pages and number of figures. Also mention the statement "Published with International Journal of Computer Applications (IJCA)" |
| Report-no | Leave it blank. If necessary, IJCA shall feed the data with automated processes. |
| Category | Each arXiv article has a primary category and may also have one or more cross-lists to other categories. |
| Journal-ref | This field is mandatory. Copy the citation data available in the citation section on the abstract page of the article in the IJCA website and paste the same.
